Looking to learn a new creative skill? Join our Perth workshop, where you will discover the art of free-motion machine embroidery.

It doesn’t matter if you’ve never done embroidery before, you’ll soon master this easy-to-follow gum leaf applique pattern and create two easy to stitch gum flowers.

During the class, you will learn the basics of free-motion machine embroidery, including how to stitch intricate designs and add sparkling crystals to each flower for an extra touch of elegance.

Show off your skills to your friends and family or make a special gift for a loved one, or keep for yourself as a reminder of the fun that you had learning the first steps of free-motion embroidery!

If you prefer me to come to your venue, I would tutor up to 15 students. Alternatively, if you would like to learn at my home, I can accommodate 1-5 students.

NB: There will be a small fuel charge if you would like me to travel for private or Group sessions.

Knowledge required

This workshop is for beginners through to the more experienced machine sewers.

What you'll get

All materials and notes will be supplied, and the bag pattern will be cut out ready to sew. You will go home with a completed and ready to use shoulder bag.

What to bring

• All that you will need to bring along with you is a domestic sewing machine that can sew straight stitch and has the ability to drop or cover the feed dogs (the teeth underneath the foot plate).

• A free motion machine foot or darning foot would be a great advantage to have.

• Spare bobbins
